Decision rendered by the Court of First Instance of Paris
The Court of Appeals of Paris reversed a decision rendered by the Court of First Instance of Paris. The lower had dismissed the libel suit against the newspaper Aujourd’hui en France filed by Mrs. Jeannie Longo, international cycling champion. Ms. Longo had filed said suit because of an article published on August 11, 2004 during the Athens Olympic Games. André Soulier represented Mrs. Longo in the appellate proceedings.
