WLG | regional Helsinki ’24 conference

Working session at Castren & Snellman during the WLG regional meeting 2024 in Helsinki

Our Counsels Laure Marolleau, Claire Filliatre and Lydie Bontemps-Helmy attended the “WLG | regional Helsinki ’24” conference which took place on May 7 and 8 in Helsinki, Finland.

This conference brought together senior associates and young partners from EMEA member firms of the World Law Group, a global network of leading independent law firms.

Two major themes were addressed:

  • The rapidly evolving development of artificial intelligence and its practical use in the business world and in lawyers’ professional activities.
  • The growing importance of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) in the assessment of companies’ performance, and the need for lawyers to adapt to meet the new challenges faced by their clients. It is in this context that Laure took part in the panel discussion on “The Expanding Role of ESG: Navigating Regulations and Building Expertise Across Practice”.

In other sessions, delegates from different countries exchanged views on emerging legislation and national specificities likely to influence international commitments and investment, and on the changing legal landscape in the EMEA region.

Our firm would like to warmly thank the Finnish law firm Castrén & Snellman for hosting this conference.
